Tips For Job Interviews

hey everyone

so I've been desperately looking for a new job, I've done 3 interviews in a month and not one call. while that sucks for me I figured I'd take advantage of my broke-ness and turn it in to something positive for those of you that are also looking for a job right now

Say you love your clients.
In a retail position, or any position really all any employer wants to know is how much of a suck up you are to your clients and how you'll do anything to make them happy. so bring up the importance and how much you value your clients satisfaction as many times as possible during an interview

plan some answers ahead of time
write down some potential interview questions, and find some amazing answers to them ahead of time so you're not stuck in the middle of an interview scratching your head. then memorize those answers and adapt them for different jobs. I wont reply to a question at a clothing store the same way I will if I'm applying for a position in cosmetics, but they will have the same basic structure.

Dress like you want the job
if you show up in jeans and a stained tee shirt i guarantee you won't be getting hired by anyone. even if the place you are interviewing at is a more laid back environment, it is an interview dress up. show that this job is important to you and that you took the time to dress well, your possible-future employers will notice that.

Have questions for your interviewer
at every interview I've ever been to it has always finished with 'do you have any questions for me?'. say something. anything. first off its quite awkward when you don't and second it shows that you really want this job and have thought about it enough to come up with some questions for them. if anything Google questions to ask during an interview and have a few in mind so you don't get stuck at the en of your interview

bring your CV to your interview
usually when you go for an interview the person interviewing you will ask you to bring a copy of your CV anyway. it's better to have it and to look prepared, than to give off the impression you where unprepared for your interview. that will also lead them to believe you are unprepared in general and don't see the job opportunity you are applying for as your priority

good luck to all of you looking for a job out there, i hope this gave you some tips and tricks to help you with your next interview, from us at blushsugar.

How much does my face cost

So today I'm going to be breaking down exactly how much my face costs. I saw someone post something similar about how much Kim Kardashian ' daily face cost and thought it was pretty interesting,  I'm just going to be covering my daily skin care routine today but my make-up routine might be a future post

Eye make-up remover
Coconut oil; about 20$ for a huge jar that's big enough to last like ten years

Cleanser;
Mary Cohr fresh cleansing cream; 44$ the main active ingredient in this cleanser is aloe and it smells like candy

Toner;
Declaré tender toning lotion; 27$
A basic soothing toner to balance the pH of the skin

Eye cream
Declaré youth supreme eye cream; 65$ a nice hydrating eye cream , concentrated with many active ingredients

Protection cream
Mary cohr nutrizen cream;88$
A rich cream for dry skin lacking on oils

Mask;
Mary Cohr nutrizen mask; 42$
This is a cream mask that's great for very dry, dehydrated skin or a skin that is just starting to show signs of ageing

Lip balm
Burt's bees coconut lip balm;4$
A nice clear hydrating lip balm in a tube format. Has a light coconut scent.

So the total of all of that... 290.00$
That feels like a lot more than it is since I buy my skincare products so infrequently. Wow.. so yeah. That's how much my daily skin care costs thanks for reading from us at blushsugar

Do's And Dont's For Acne

hey acne sufferers! today's post is for you, I'm gonna share a few of my do's and dont's for an acneic skin!

DO

wash your face
washing your face regularly and with the appropriate products will help to fight the bacteria that causes acne and balance the pH levels of the skin so it's less likely to come back

DON'T

use products with alcohol
many products, especially those marketed for oily skin; contain alcohol. this dries out the skin and is anti-bacterial, but will leave your skin parched and cause the pH of your skin to get thrown off balance, so it won't fix the problem and will only lead to more issues in the skin

DO

pop the pimples correctly
wash your hands first, and use a piece of tissue to cover your fingers. this way the bacteria from under your nails doesn't get into the pores, and your nails wont scratch the skin and leave marks, afterwards be sure to cleanse your hands and your skin thoroughly so you don't leave the bacteria sitting on your skin where it can spread and create more acne.

DON'T
attack your face
don't go at your at face non stop until everything comes out, you will leave scars on your skin, cause inflammation and redness and most likely wont even be able to get everything out, if it isn't coming out it is either not ready to and you will have to wait another day or two, or it is underneath the skin in the form of a cyst or nodule

DO

exfoliate
using an enzymatic exfoliant will eat away at the dead skin cells and the proteins bonding them to the skin without disrupting live skin. this way you're skin will be able to receive more oxygen and that will help to eliminate acne because the acne bacteria likes to live in places with less air circulation

DON'T
use a mechanical exfoliant
using a mechanical exfoliant will actually be harmful to an acneic skin. acne is a form of inflammation and it is sensitive, the mechanical exfoliant will be too abrasive for a skin rendered sensitive from acne, because off the rubbing motion made when exfoliating it will stimulate the sebaceous gland to produce more oil, and it will also give the opportunity to the bacteria to migrate to other parts of the face

DO
hydrate the skin
just because a skin is oily or acneic doesn't mean it can't be dehydrated at the same time. if the skin is being dehydrated it will actually trigger the brain to send more oil because it will interpret the dehydration as lacking oils and try to repair it. use a light moisturiser or a gel formula daily.

DON'T
use overly rich creams

don't apply a moisturiser made for a dry skin, this is not the same as a dehydrated skin and the cream will likely contain more nourishing and fat and oil based ingredients. this will clog the pores and be too much for an oily skin to handle, you will notice yourself being even more shiny throughout the day and can increase acne.

That's it for my list of does and dont's for acne sufferers, I hope this post helped and gave you some new tips on managing your skin, and dealing with acne, thanks so much for reading from us at blushsugar

How To De-Stress

Everyone has stress in their lives, right now in the holiday season you may be feeling a bit overwhelmed, so today I'm going to share some tips on how to de-stress with you.

Go Outside
going for a walk or just getting a few minutes in nature is a great way to calm your mind, and it helps to boost your endorphins

Colour
this one is one of my favourite tips. there are tons of adult colouring books on the market right now and are known to help de stress a busy mind. I love the Johanna Basford colouring books, there so detailed and the illustrations are really pretty.

Drink a cup of tea
having a nice warm beverage always feels and tastes good, so make your favourite drink and relax. Recently I've been loving making caramel macchiato's and Chai tea latte's in my keurig.

Take a bath
What better way to de-stress than soaking in a hot bath with lots of bubbles? throw in your favorite bubble bath, light some candles, and let all your worries pop away like the bubbles.

Read
reading is a great way to calm down, it takes you out of the stresses of your everyday life and brings you to wherever you're reading about instead.

Thanks for reading, I hope this post gave you some useful tips to de-stress this holiday season, from us at blushsugar

The cure is worst than the illness

I suffer from anxiety, depression and insomnia. Since the age of 4.

But this next information isn't about me; but instead it is about educating yourself on the dangers of "some" key word is some medication's that are prescribed regularly but, medicine my be more dangerous than doctor's lead on.

Again not all doctor's are alike and you can't fix your medical problems (well most of them) from a Google search.

I have always read pill information so side effects were always not too much of a fear for me. After begging my doctor from years of not sleeping she gave me one medication that's side effects made me scared. "May cause sleepiness,  appetite changes, sexual dysfunction,  do not use this medication while driving, can cause confusion and trouble with memory" that's just the common risks the major risks include "self harm without awareness of your own actions and harm on others"

I feel like taking something that could also "worsen insomnia" is dangerous.

many people just start taking a medication right away without doing any research on it. It is very important to stay informed about what you are putting in to your body, I actually suffer from high blood pressure from being on my medication for so many years. And have experienced psychosis from others

So keep yourself safe read the instructions and stay well in communication with your doctor.

How to stay motivated on bad days

We all have off days. It's inevitable. But just because you're having a bad day doesn't mean you can't make the best of it, here are some tips for staying motivated.

Set realistic goals.

When thinking of goals you usually tend to think of what you want most in life. And those are some pretty big things. Weather it's getting married or buying a house, setting a huge goal can make you feel hopeless. Set smaller more obtainable goals that will help you get closer to your dreams.

Look good, feel good.

I always feel better when I feel like I look awesome. So on those days you don't even wanna get out of bed take a few extra minutes to pamper yourself. Take a nice shower, do your hair and makeup in a way that makes you feel like you can do anything, and rock your favorite outfit.  You'll feel eay more put together and ready to face life.

Get outside

Nature is supposed to be the magic cure to everything. And sometimes it really can be, going for a walk even for just 5 minutes can really help to refresh your mind and body and help you to focus more.

Take care of yourself

Make sure your eating properly and getting enough water and sleep everyday. Those little things like skipping a snack or going to bed late can really throw you off. If you're having trouble with that you may want to consider reaching out to your doctor for some advice, just because someone else has it worse doesn't mean you aren't deserving of help too.

Allow yourself some leniency.

Just because you aren't where you thought you would be right now doesn't mean you're worthless or you should give up on yourself. I'm actually guilty of doing this a lot. But one quote that really helps to keep me grounded is "you can't compare your middle to someone else's ending" you're going to get everything you want and deserve in life.  But patience, and perseverance is key. If you stop trying all together it's impossible to get to your goals. Just breath and take your time. It'll be worth it in the end

Thanks for reading, I hope these tips helped you to make your bad day a little bit better,  stay motivated and keep going from us at blush sugar

Try and spend more time like hang out more even if its in a group be chill and dont force it.

2: mentality (idea's and what they stamd for)

Favourite Holiday Makeup

I love winter and the holiday season The pretty lights, the music, the shopping I love almost everything about it (besides the cold) including holiday inspired make-up looks! here I've listed a few of my favorite products for a holiday makeup look

MAC Russian Red Lipstick
when I think of holiday makeup looks I immidiatley think of red lips. You can never go wrong with a classic matte finish, blue toned, red lipstick for the holiday season. This one is my personal fave.It stays on for a long time, It's relatively comfortable on the lips for being a matte formula, and the colour is stunning. Nars also has some beautiful lip colours perfect for winter.

Urban Decay Original  Naked Palette
A staple holiday look is a gold smokey eye, and it's so pretty when you pair it with a rich red lip colour, like the mac russian red lipstick i mentioned above. My palette of choice to get that golden eye look? the original urban decay naked palette. There are lots of other neutral toned palletes available on the market today if you're looking to create this look and don't own the naked palette. But I happen to hae this one in my collection and think it's perfect. It has lots of warm gold shades and rich browns to create a beautiful holiday makeup look. The pigmentation is great, and it's easy to apply and to blend.

Lashes
Lashes add some instant glam to any makeup look, so they are especially perfect for a holiday makeup look. They add just a little extra bit of drama to a look, taking your holiday looks to the next level.

Fresh Sugar Lip balm And Lush Bubblegum Lip Polish
When winter arrives, so do dry, chapped cracking lips.  To combat this my favorite products are the Lush bubblegum lip scrub, and the Fresh sugar lip balm. The scrub sloughs off dry rough skin on the lips, plus it tastes delicious. The Fresh sugar lip balm is an ultra hydrating formula, I've never felt my lips be softer in  my life than when I've followed this regimen.

Highlight
To me, a good highlight is an essential part of any makeup look regardless of the season, but a gold toned highlight looks especially beautiful in the winter-time, it'll complement your gold toned eye looks, and cast a beautiful glow on the skin, especially under the lighing of string lights, and christmas candles, which create a softer  and more radiant effect on the skin

A good hydrating face mask
I like to combst winter dryness by changing out my skincare for heavier and richer products that are higher in lipids. I also make sure to regularly use a face mask for that extra boost of hydration. you can purchase single use ones at the pharmacy for only a few dollars, but usually around the holidays many skin care brands will come out with gift sets featurin their best masks, so that's another option and it's nice if you're not used to masks so that you can try out a few and find your favorites without paying for a full size

Thats it for my holiday makeup essentials, we hope that you enjoyed this post and got some ideas for holiday makeup looks and products, thanks for reading and happy holidays from us at blush sugar

How it feels to be defined by illness

Let me start by saying i've never hated anyone who hasn't given me reason too.

If you hear discrimanation about gender, colour, you stand up but how many times have you heard thats retarded or oh its just anxiety when there a little nervous.

Here is how anxiety feels; your heart starts beatimg fast, its hard to breath. You feel as if everything will go wrong. Anxiety is caused by nature and nurture. Its caused by your bodys reaction to danger, fight or flight.

To people who have not leared about the struggles and the suffering of people with mental illness. Don't be mad they didn't know so they don't understand just like how we who suffer don't know how to cope its no ones fault.

My Pamper Night routine

so today I'm going to be talking all about my pamper evening routine,, i try to do this about once a week, usually on a Saturday, or Sunday. It's the perfect treat after a stressful week, and a great way to recharge, and to treat yourself without the cost of going to a spa or salon.

I start out by washing my face, so that it's cleansed and ready for treatments. Lately I've been using coconut oil, it's inexpensive. about twenty dollars for a jar that'll last you at least a year. Plus, its full of fatty acids and vitamin e, which are hydrating and repairing

after my skin is clean i actually use the coconut oil again.. as a hair mask! it's super hydrating, and leaves your hair soft and shiny. I take about a tablespoon for each side of my head, rub it in my hands until it starts to melt into an oil, then I slather my hair in it, throw it in a bun and leave that in for about an hour.

while my hair is being treated, I like to start working on my hands and feet. For my feet ill soak them for about 5 minutes to soften the thickened skin, then I'll go in with a foot file to lightly remove the callus, so my feet are nice and soft! then I'll trim my nails, push back my cuticles and nip them, put on a polish, and finish off with some cream. The polish I've been loving on my toes recently is CND vynilux polish in 'butterfly queen' its the perfect hot pink barbie pink with an intense pink and blue glitter in it, its opaque in one coat, and lasts for weeks without chipping!

For my hands i shape the nails, push back and cut my cuticles, then put on polish. Today i decided I wanted to match my toes and used butterfly queen by CND

after that I'll run a bubble bath, using whatever lush products I have on hand. ill usually spend about 30 minutes in the bath before i take a quick shower, rinse the coconut oil out of my hair and exfoliate and wash my body.

After that I apply a body lotion, slip on some comfy pyjamas, put on a night cream and eye treatment and head off to sleep, all relaxed and ready for a night of beauty sleep

I hope you enjoyed learning what i do for a pamper night, thanks for reading from blushsugar

My Top 3 MAC Lipsticks

Hey everyone, so today I'll be sharing my top 3 MAC lipsticks, MAC is the most prevalent brand in my lipstick collection. I tend to favour them because of how reliable the quality is, and while they are a bit pricier than a drug store brand, they aren't as expensive as a luxury brand product, who know's maybe my top 3 will end up becoming your favourites too!

Brave
Brave is a satin finish, it's a soft mauve toned rose shade, This colour is a few shades different than my natural lip colour and the perfect 'your lips but better' shade. It's satin finish has a natural appearance on the lips, I also find it makes my lips look slightly fuller. It's rumoured to be Kylie Jenner's favourite lipstick colour. and it give's off that much coveted 90's vibe without being over the top

Vegas Volt
Vegas volt is an amplified crème formula, the colour is pigmented, applies evenly, and is non- drying on the lips. the colour is a bold coral. I sometimes have rouble with corals either being to muted and pastel toned which can wash you out, or being way to orange, and looking a bit strange on the lips. This one is a perfect balance, it's my go to summer lipstick because the warm tones in it accentuates the golden tones in my skin and brings warmth to my complexion. It's bright enough to be considered a fun colour, but not so bold that you'll see it a mile away.

Russian Red
Russian red is a matte finish. It is a classic blue toned red, it's the perfect winter red and a favourite around the holiday season. the blue toned helps teeth to appear whiter which is always a plus. The colour is intense and applies evenly, but because it is a matte finish it can feel a bit dry on the lips, it's not to much of an issue but if you find it settling into lines and dry skin, I'd recommend exfoliating the lips and applying a lip balm before wearing this one

So there you have it! my top 3 mac lipsticks, thanks for reading,

The Science Behind Dry Skin

What is a dry skin? how can you help it? Today I'm going to be answering these questions

What is a dry skin?

a dry skin is a skin that is in hypo secretion. there is a lack of sebum being secreted from the sebaceous glands, and a lack of oils and protection on the skin.
how can you recognize a dry skin?
you can recognize a dry skin if it has no visible ostia, desquamation, a matte complexion, a dull appearence, and  secretes no oil at all throughout the day.

How to treat a dry skin?

because a dry skin is not secreting enough, it needs to be stimulated so it will cause increased bloodflow, collagen production, and cell turnover. this can be done through facial massage, exfoliation, and treatments using electrical currents. Exfoliation is also important because a dry skin generally has a dry senseation and desquamation, so exfoliationg will give it a smoother texture, and by removing exess corneocytes, it makes the skin more receptive to product, and is easier to treat. A dry skin also needs nourishment, The skin is lacking in lipids so it is important to provide it with fats, or oils. you can use face oils and serums, and also diet modifications can help. take shorter showers and wash your face in cooler water, as hot water is drying. make sure not to use products that contain alcohol. Consuming alcohol, caffeine, and certain mecdications can also make skin more prone to dryness.

Is dry skin the same as dehydrated skin?

No. A dry skin is lacking in oils and fats, because the sebaceous gland is not producing enough. a dehydrated skin is lacking water and in fact, has very little to do with the sebaceous gland at all. it is very possible to have an oily skin with dehydration

Beauty Stocking Stuffer Ideas

Somehow Christmas is already less than one month away! that means it's time to start thinking about gifts, we've compiled a few stocking stuffer ideas for the beauty fanatic in your life (or maybe just for yourself)

Candy
everyone loves candy! It's an inexpensive option that'll definitely make the recipient smile, lots of brands do holiday versions of their original candy as well, so it'll keep in the holiday theme and should only cost you a few dollars

Nail polish
nail polish can really make a dent in your wallet after a while if your a nail lover like me. picking up a few in colours they've been wanting to try is a thoughtful gift, and something they'll use.

Hair accessories
these are an essential if you have hair- which i'm assuming the majority of you reading this do. hair ties, clips, or a nice brush would be a welcome addition to anyone's stocking. I recommend the tangle teezer. it's a bit pricey (CAD$20.00 on sephora's website) so it may not be something people will want to buy for themselves, but it de-tangles hair so quickly and effortlessly. Your recipient will be very thankful they have this on bad hair days

Makeup bag
I love make-up bags, but hate buying them, I feel a bit bad spending $20.00 on a piece of fabric to sit in my purse and hold make-up. So receiving that for a holiday is always nice, my favourite one of the moment is  called the ' glitter, gold, and everything bold make-up pouch from the Sephora collection, It's huge, it could hold all of my make-up for a trip but its relatively flat so it doesn't take up to much room in a bag, plus the gold glitter and the quote are adorable!

lip balm
winter is the season of dryness, as an esthetician it means more clients coming in for facials, because everyone is just so dry! from the cold wind to heaters, it's just an all-around bad time for skin. So a lip balm would certainly be a nice thing to include in anyone's stocking.

Hand cream
As I mentioned above, winter means dry skin, and that includes your hands, a hand cream is a nice size to fit in a stocking, you can find super cheap one's at the drug store, or you can even find one's from luxury skin care brands. so you can customize it to your budget, and pick out a sent they'll enjoy.

Earphones
these always end up going missing or breaking, so having a back up pair is always nice to have on hand, perfect for listening to Christmas music

That's it for our stocking stuffer ideas, we hope this gave you some inspiration, happy holidays from Blushsugar!

My Five Product Face

so today I'm gonna be talking about my five product face. this look is quick and easy, but still looks fresh and put together. it's perfect for those days when your running late or simple don't feel like fussing around with a bunch of different products

CONCEALER: so my first step is concealer, this will help to cover up any dark circles, or any blemishes. And by just using a concealer you won't need to fuss with a foundation and making sure its perfectly blended or using multiple tools. For this look I like my Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer in fair neutral, because it's only a bit lighter than my skin tone, so I can blend it out easily.  to apply it I use my beauty blender, because it gives a more natural look.

BROWS: When I have my brows done I always feel instantly put together. So for me they're an essential, no matter what kind of look I'm doing. I use the Anastasia brow pomade in the colour ebony and the Anastasia #7 brow brush.

MASCARA: next product is mascara. to help you look awake, and open up the eyes, but its quick and easy. My current favourite is the l'oreal telescopic carbon black. it makes my lashes look super long, and I like to apply it to my top and bottom lashes.

BLUSH: I love to add a bit of blush when I'm doing a more natural look, I feel like it really gives more life to my face. I like using Nars super orgasm blush for this because it has a gold sheen to it, so it adds some luminosity to the skin at the same time

LIPS: I like to add something lighter and easy to use to my lip's for this kind of a look, because i can just throw it on without having to worry about a lip liner, or making anything look to perfect like I would with a darker colour. For me that's the Revlon lip butter in peach parfait. I love these. they give colour and sheen to the lips but are super easy to apply and really hydrating

so there you have it, my five product face.

How to survive depression in 5 steps

Lets start off by quickly saying that we at blushsugar know the pain of mental illness. Here are some of the ways we've stayed alive.

5: Support. Surround your self with real and honest people. Having bad people just makes you feel like shit not to mention the drama is unreal.

4: eat, sleep and everything around the same time everyday. Pschologist always suggest having a daily routine. Helps keeps your body happy and a happy body is a healthy mind.

3: 7-8 hours of sleep. No its not just an option its what you need.

2: think about how how your death would affect friends. Yes they care or if not i would cry for a stranger know your loved.

1: allow yourself to break for 5-10 mins frequently. To relax and focus on yourself. If you can't respect yourself you can't get better. Your emotional dont focus on it. Its really hard but if you try you will do it.

-update-

Hey! Happy Monday to all of our beautiful followers! :) we just wanted to give out an update regarding our posting schedule, we are both very busy with work and school, but are working very hard to try to put out at least 4 articles a week for you :) so we apologize in advance if our schedule is slightly erratic! But we will be posting as much as we possibly can

Nail Tips From An Esthetician

As a licensed esthetician, and having to redo my manicure course twice- I've learned a few tips and tricks to care for your nails, so today I'm going to be sharing those with you

Buffing the nails: we've all seen the little 4 sided buffers, you can get them at the dollar store, pharmacy, and are usually included in any nail art kit, but do you actually know why you use one? a buffer helps to eliminate ridges and discolourations in the nail. A buffer also helps your nails to grow. When you buff your nails it stimulates heat and stimulates the nail matrix, in turn it actually causes your nails to grow longer, faster. Don't do it too often though! once or twice a week is best, any more than that and you'll over-refine and weaken the nail instead.

file at an angle: it's probably happened to you before, you've caught your nail on something and it peels off the top bit of your nail. your nails actually do have layers. when you file your nails straight on it exposes these layers, making the nail weaker, and allowing air and water to get between the nails and cause them to break and split. but if hold your file under your nail and angle it back slightly, it'll help to minimize damage to the nails.

Cut your nails slowly: instead of just grabbing your nail clipper and going to town, slow down and take smaller pieces at a time, cut the nail in two or three sections instead of one big cut, it saves the integrity of the nail, and makes it less likely to crack.

Things I Learned From My First Job

My first job was as a cosmetician in a pharmacy. that lasted about 8 months. I sold high end and low end make-up and skincare products, and came across a few unexpected things, so here are some things I learned from my first job. This is just my point of view and what I observed at my first job. This will not apply to everyone.

People get hired for experience, not qualification.
I am an esthetician and a make-up artist, so selling skin care and cosmetics is something i am literally trained in. from having to take actual courses in selling cosmetics, to knowing how to do a skin analysis and pick products for those conditions, as well as studying cosmetology and cosmetic ingredients. I'd say I was pretty qualified. But most of the other people I worked with weren't. I worked with a girl who told me she only got the job because they saw she had retail experience. another one was actually in the medical field but since she had a long resume of past jobs, she got in too. I thought you had to have some knowledge to get in, but nope. as long as you tell them you've sold something in your life, you'll get hired.

Clients are terrible people.
of course I've had nice clients who are really sweet and genuinely want your advice, and I'm always happy to give it. But a lot of them are not. I've had a lady Scream at us and Bring her husband to Scream at us, And threaten us. Because she said she bought a face cream, and opened it to find it in chunks, it looked like it was 10 years old, but we couldn't do the return because she didn't have the packaging, and we for some reason didn't carry that product with the same bar code any more, we figured it must have been an old box and the last one. She made one of my co workers cry. Then the next day, another girl I worked with said she recognized her. She had been kicked out of the store before for filling up containers with different products then returning them to get free money. I've had people buying products that where on liquidation, tell me i'm mean, and cold-hearted for not giving them a sample of a $150.00 cream, that i am only allowed to give out when you purchase something from thst brand. People just really suck.

You have rights too.
there where lots of sketchy things going on where I worked, they would get mad at the people who couldn't attend the brand trainings that took place almost an hour away, and during school days. But, they also didn't pay us for those trainings. which they're supposed to especially if they're saying you can't be good at your job if you don't go. They would always move our shifts around and cut hours suddenly. I was working part time and entitled to 20 hours a week. sometimes I'd receive 40, and then other times I'd get 15 hours over 2 weeks. you do have rights. Just because someone is employing you doesn't mean you shouldn't stand up to them if they are not giving you what you deserve.

So I hope this post was informative or you, keep these things in mind, you are working for someone but you do deserve to be treated fairly as well.

Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation Review

The urban decay all nighter foundation claims to be 'A full-coverage, matte-finish, waterproof foundation that lasts all night.' It is available in 24 shades. shades ending in .5 have a pink undertone, .0 is a warm undertone, and .75 is their neutral shades. It's priced at $49.00 CAD on sephora's website.

Packaging: This bottle has 1oz of product in it which is pretty standard for a liquid foundation, the bottle has metal look to it with cut-outs, you can see the shade clearly from the packaging, this foundation also comes with a pump.

Application: I applied it with a Morphe buffing brush. The application of this product was very easy, according to the sephora website, because of how high the coverage is,you only need one pump for your entire face. I definitely found that to be true. I dotted it around my face on my cheeks, nose chin, and forehead, using about half of the amount of foundation I normally do to see how it lived up to the claims on the sephora website. Even with that minimal amount of product it covered my entire face flawlessly. I went back with a bit more product around my cheeks to see how well it layered, and it blended in and built up the coverage even more. The coverage of this product is intense.I have an angioma on my nose that I have trouble concealing even if i colour correct, put foundation an concealer. This foundation covered it completely in one layer. I was even able to buff it around my eyes and i didn't feel the need to add any concealer.  It has a natural matte finish, and if you have very dry skin this product may accentuate dry patches so I'd be careful about that. It blends very easily and after about 5 minutes I felt it was set and I didn't need to use any powder. It blended out easily, and didn't dry down so quickly that i didn't have enough time to blend.

Wear: I wore the foundation for about ten hours, In that time I didn't notice it change at all. this foundation does oxidise slightly, but it did that by the time i had finished blending it over my skin it didn't get any darker throughout the day, it still matched me. when I checked in the mirror it still looked exactly the same as when I first applied it that morning. I didn't notice it breaking up or getting patchy at all.

Final thoughts: This foundation has extremely high coverage, and it stays on all day, definitely would recommend.
